Exam information

Renewal cycle
Certificates renew on a two-year cycle through the DNR operator system.
Continuing-education requirements
Grade A, I, and II: 1 CEU (10 hours) per certificate per two-year period. Grade III and IV: 2 CEUs (20 hours). Dual treatment/distribution holders need at least 25% in each area.
Reciprocity / out-of-state operators
Available through Iowa DNR Form 542-3117, subject to agency review.
