Renewal cycle
Drinking-water certificates renew on a three-year cycle. Wastewater certificates do not have a separate periodic expiration stated in RCSA 22a-416; they become inactive two years after the operator leaves wastewater employment and may be reissued after satisfying current requirements.
Continuing-education requirements
Drinking water: Class I/SWS 10 TCH, Class II 20, Classes III-IV 30 within the three-year cycle. Wastewater CEUs are used for initial/class advancement and DEEP maintains separate continuing-education guidance; the rule does not impose a periodic numeric renewal total comparable to DPH drinking-water renewal.
Reciprocity / out-of-state operators
Both programs provide reciprocity processes; wastewater requests are processed as submitted.
